      Cumberland Mountain State Park is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors. While the park is generally safe, visitors should be aware of potential hazards such as wildlife encounters and changing weather conditions. Be sure to stop by the park visitor center for updated rules if you have questions or concerns about trails. Please note that Byrd Creek can be prone to flash flooding.

      Cumberland Mountain State Park strives to provide accessible facilities and experiences for all visitors. The Byrd Lake Trail is an ADA-accessible, paved trail that travels around a portion of Byrd Lake.

      Indoor Venue 

      The Cumberland Mountain State Park Recreation Lodge offers 2,788 square feet of rental meeting space. The hall has a stage, fireplace, restrooms, and the swimming pool is located nearby. Capacity is 150 guests with a table and chair set-up and up to 225 guests with just chairs.

      Restaurant Patio 

      Outdoor Venue 

      Located outside of the Restaurant at Cumberland Mountain, the Cumberland Mountain Patio is a perfect outdoor venue for your next event. The patio features native Crab Orchard stone and a beautiful view of Byrd Lake. The capacity is 50 guests with tables and chairs. Catering is provided by the Restaurant at Cumberland Mountain.

      Amphitheater 

      Outdoor Venue 

      This rustic outdoor venue with natural bench seating offers a unique setting for performances, presentations, and gatherings, surrounded by the park's natural landscape. Including a beautiful view of Byrd Lake, this venue can accommodate 50 to 75 guests.   

      Capacity: 50 - 75 
      Rate: $150

      Indoor Venues  

      Cumberland Mountain State Park offers a versatile and varied selection of indoor meeting spaces, all equipped with A/V equipment. These meeting rooms are located beneath the Restaurant and offer a capacity of 40-150 guests. There are three banquet rooms available for reservations.  

      Capacity: 40 - 150 
      Rates: $200 - $300

    Pavilions

    Cumberland Mountain State Park has four picnic shelters/pavilions that may be reserved for your next event or gathering. 

    Capacity: 60 - 75 
    Amenities: picnic tables, grill, access to restrooms 
    Nearby: Depending upon the shelter, access to a playground, volleyball court, basketball court, tennis courts, or a ball field 
    Rates: $54 - $78 

    Full-day shelter reservations may be made online or by calling the park. 

    Picnic shelters or pavilions may be reserved online up to one year in advance with a paid reservation fee.  

    There is a $5 cancellation fee for picnic shelter or pavilion reservations cancelled eight days or more in advance of the reserved date. Reservations cancelled seven days or less in advance of the reserved date forfeit all paid fees. 

    The Restaurant at Cumberland Mountain

    Located on scenic Byrd Lake, the Restaurant at Cumberland Mountain serves a variety of family favorites. Whether you're stopping in for a cold beverage after a hike or something more substantial, we hope to see you soon.

  • EV Charging Stations

    Installed two EV charging stations at Cumberland Mountain State Park’s Homestead Harvest Restaurant.  

  • Reduce Erosion

    Completed projects to minimize erosion including planting 300 trees near Byrd Creek.  

  • Eco-Friendly Practices

    Perform golf maintenance with electric mowers, targeted watering program and digital irrigation. Promote eco-friendly practices in campgrounds.
