Event Details

Join Seasonal Ranger Hannah on the picturesque Poplar Tree lake to learn a bit of history about the origins and ecosystem of Shelby Forest. Hopefully we will even get lucky and see a great blue heron or white egret! The tour will take about 1 hour and there is no shade on the lake so make sure to wear sunscreen and bring water! We will meet at the nature center and all children 12 and under are required to wear a life jacket. Kayaks are available for rental or feel free to bring your own.
