Event Details

Join us for a fun and fascinating evening exploring the world of reptiles! We’ll take a short hike with Ranger Casey to search for frogs, toads, snakes, salamanders, and turtles, while learning about their unique adaptations and importance in the ecosystem. This is a great chance to experience the park at night and learn about some of our lesser-known wildlife.

Please meet at the Bluebird Barn at 6 PM. Be prepared to walk approximately 2 miles on both paved and unpaved trails, including some uneven terrain. For more details about the route we will take, read the Essential Eligibility Criteria. The program will include a short talk from Ranger Casey in the classroom followed by a guided hike with plenty of opportunities for observation and questions.

The cost of this program is $5 per participant. Kids under 5 are free with a paying adult.

Please come prepared with sturdy shoes and a flashlight (red or colored lights preferred to minimize disturbance). Pets are not allowed on programs, except service animals. Dress for the weather and get ready for an evening full of discovery!
