Event Details

Come experience history with all 5 senses! Join Ranger Tom to enjoy historical recipes and learn about the people who made them.

This month's recipes are based on the rations given to enslaved African Americans who worked in the iron furnaces in our park 175 years ago. Come hear their story and taste the foods that sustained them through long, hard-working days.

All participants must register online. The program will be held at 12:00 pm in the park visitor center auditorium. All ages are welcome!
