Fort Pillow State Historic Park

November 7th and 8th

Join Fort Pillow State Historic Park Rangers Stoney and Tyson on November, 7th 2026 for a campout with the Rangers and Civil War Living History Presenters. We will meet at the Group Camp at 4:00 pm to start setting up. We will provide supper on the night of November 7th and a pancake breakfast over an open fire the next morning the way it was done in the 19th century. The

Living History Presenters will be dressed in period clothing and camping in

period equipment. While we are together everyone will have the chance to look

over all the equipment Civil War soldiers would have used at Fort Pillow. We

will also offer an 1861 Springfield Rifle demonstration on November 7th. After

dark we will go on a night hike to see some of the earth works that were built

in 1861. Cannon Demonstrations will be offered on the morning of November 8th. Camping gear is not provided so everyone must bring their own equipment if they intend to stay overnight for breakfast. There will be a $25 fee for adults and $15 for ages 12 and under and those not camping with the Ranger Staff and Living History Presenters.
