Event Details

Scaly, slithery, and surprisingly secretive—reptiles are some of the most fascinating creatures found at Seven Islands State Birding Park! Have your students join Ranger Casey for a talk about the important role reptiles and amphibians play in our ecosystems. We'll start up at the Bluebird Barn for a short talk with hands-on activities, then we'll go for a short hike to hopefully see some of these elusive creatures and talk about their habitat in the park.

This program is recommended for families and visitors of all ages. Please meet at the Bluebird Barn at 9:00 AM. Be prepared to walk about 2 miles on paved and unpaved surfaces. For more details about the route we will take, read the Essential Eligibility Criteria. The walk will include stops along the trail to look for reptiles and discuss their adaptations and habits. Duration is approximately 2 hours.

The cost of this program is $5.00 per child

Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring water and sunscreen. Pets are not allowed on programs, except service animals.
