Event Details

Meet Seasonal Ranger Sarah at the Visitor Center to try to identify some nocturnal insects and learn about them! Feel free to bring a chair and some snacks! Fee of $1 per person. Registration required. All funds go towards park programming!

Frozen Head State Park encompasses over 24,000 acres of rugged wilderness in the Cumberland Mountains. Named for the 3,324-foot peak often shrouded in ice during winter, the park offers a primitive and unplugged experience for outdoor enthusiasts. Hike to the iconic Lookout Tower, explore cascading waterfalls, and discover the remnants of a historic Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp.
