Event Details

Did you know the forest floor sparkles with hundreds of tiny eyes after dark? Join Clay at the picnic tables outside Shelter 1 to discover the secret world of wolf spiders! Using flashlights and headlamps, we'll search for the glowing eyes of these nocturnal hunters, learn how to safely catch and observe them, and uncover what makes them such important members of the ecosystem.

Be sure to wear appropriate footwear, and bug spray is recommended for your comfort. Please bring a headlamp if you have one, and otherwise a few will be available to borrow.
