Due to structural renovations, the Happy Hollow and Lakefront Campgrounds, the baseball field, and the volleyball court are closed. We anticipate a reopening of all areas in early 2027. Please watch our alerts and our social media accounts for the most updated information.

Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park

To get the most direct route to our Park Office when using GPS, please use the park address - 1825 Pilot Knob Road Eva, TN 38333. If you use the park name, it sends you to the back gate which is the long route, depending on your starting point, and there is no cell phone reception.

    Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park cabin rentals sit on the shoreline overlooking Kentucky Lake about 100 miles West of Nashville. Cabin visitors will be surrounded by more than 20 miles of hiking trails, rivers and streams, and forests. Park activities include paddling, disc golfing, swimming, hiking, fishing, and birding. Adults and children alike can also enjoy the Tennessee River Folklife Interpretive Nature Center and Museum that feature the lifeways and customs of folks on the Tennessee River, Civil War history as well as live animal exhibits. The cabin's covered porches allow for private family time and the nearby picnic pavilions and play areas are perfect for group fun. Whatever your adventure, you are sure to find it at the Nathan Bedford Forrest cabins.

      Nathan Bedford Forrest Deluxe Cabins

      2 bedrooms 4 beds 2 baths
      Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park features seven deluxe cabins. Each cabin has a fully furnished kitchen, air conditioning, a gas-log fireplace, cable television, Wi-Fi, and a phone. There is also an outside grill and a deck facing the river. Bed and bath linens are provided, although there is no maid service.
      • Cozy log cabin room with a lit fireplace and bed.
      • A galley kitchen with a window, stove, and sink in view.
      • A bed sits in the center of the room with crisp, white bed sheets. A doorway is open on both sides of the bed.
      • A bathroom with a standup shower and wood-paneled walls.

      Nathan Bedford Forrest Rustic Log Cabin

      1 bedroom 2 beds 1 bath
      Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park has one Rustic Log Cabin available on a secluded ridge overlooking Kentucky Lake. The historic cabin is a renovated 1930’s log cabin that features a wood-burning fireplace, a full kitchen, and a covered back porch complete with a glider and a view of Kentucky Lake. Make your reservations early, as this is the park’s most popular cabin.

    Details You Should Know

    • Cancellation Fees

      $10 cancellation fee per cabin applies.  

    • Pet Policy

      Pets are only permitted in designated pet-friendly cabins. There is an additional charge of $20 per night, per pet. Pets are only permitted in Cabins 2 and 3. 

    • Availability

      Cabins are available by reservation year-round with a two-night minimum (holidays and other special events may require longer minimum stays) and can be reserved up to a year in advance online with reservations being made through the park office up to thirteen months in advance.  

    • Minimum Stay

      Cabin rentals may be subject to a 3-night minimum during peak times (including Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day) at park management discretion.  

    • Maximum Stay

      Maximum consecutive stay from March 1 through November 30 in any cabin is 14 nights. From December 1 to February 29, the maximum stay is 28 nights. Please contact the park directly or call 1 (888) 867-2757 for any requests to stay beyond these limits. 

    Accessibility

    If you wish to reserve an ADA accessible cabin, please contact us (1-888-867-2757). Please be aware that you must make a specific request for an ADA accessible cabin. There are a limited number, so reservations for ADA accessible cabins should be made as far in advance as possible. 

    Visitor Center Gift Shop 

    The Visitor Center Gift Shop is the perfect place to pick up a map, learn about the park, or find a souvenir. You'll find an assortment of apparel and keepsakes to remember your trip to the park.
