    Cove Lake State Park is a popular location for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, meetings, family reunions, and church picnics.

    Our Event Spaces

      Cove Lake Recreation Building

      Average rates: $400–$500
      Capacity: 120 guests
      The Recreation Building is a 1,764-square-foot facility with a beautiful wood interior and scenic views of the lake and mountains. It is fully equipped with central heat/air, refrigerator, sink, stove, oven, and microwave. Tables and chairs are provided and can seat up to 120 guests. Please contact the park office if booking for a wedding or large event as additional requirements and permits are required. 
       
      Rental hours are from 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM.

      Cove Lake Lakefront Field

      Average rates: $90

      Flat grassy area behind the Recreation Building with beautiful views of Cove Lake. Must be rented with the Recreation Building.

    Pavilions

    Cove Lake State Park has a total of six picnic shelters/pavilions that may be reserved for your next event or gathering. Depending on the shelter, the maximum capacity ranges from 50 to 65 people with a playground nearby or a lake view may be provided. The shelters are equipped with picnic tables, a grill, and access to restrooms.

    All day shelter reservations can be made online or by calling the park.    

    You must pay the full fee when reserving a picnic shelter or pavilion. There is a $5 cancellation fee for picnic shelter or pavilion reservations canceled eight days or more in advance of the reserved date. Reservations canceled seven days or less in advance of the reserved date forfeit all paid fees.

      Cove Lake Shelter 1

      Average rates: $66

      Capacity: 55-65. There are 10 picnic tables, a large charcoal grill in the center of the shelter, electricity is available inside of the shelter, 110 yards to the restroom, 200+ yards to a playground, and a water spigot is located next to the shelter (Note: Water is only available from April 1-October 31).

      Cove Lake Shelter 2

      Average rates: $66

      Capacity: 55-65. There are six picnic tables, a charcoal grill next to the shelter, electricity is available inside of the shelter, and a water spigot is located next to the shelter (Note: Water is only available from April 1-October 31). Restrooms are a short walk across the street (Note: Photo 4 shows restrooms from standing inside of the shelter).

      Cove Lake Shelter 3

      Average rates: $66

      Capacity: 55-65. There are six picnic tables, a charcoal grill is located next to shelter, electricity is available inside of the shelter, and a water spigot located next to the shelter (Note: Water is only available from April 1-October 31). The shelter is 43 yards from a playground (shown in photo #2) and 95 yards to the restroom (shown in photo #3).

      Cove Lake Shelter 4

      Average rates: $66

      Capacity: 55-65. There are six picnic tables, a charcoal grill is located next to shelter, you'll have a lake view and electricity available inside of the shelter. There is a water spigot located next to the shelter (Note: Water is only available from April 1-October 31). The shelter is 38 yards from the playground (shown in photo # 2) and 183 yards to the restroom.

      Cove Lake Shelter 5

      Average rates: $66

      Capacity: 55-65. There are eight picnic tables, a large charcoal grill is located in front of shelter, electricity is available inside of the shelter, and a water spigot is located next to the shelter (Note: Water is only available from April 1-October 31). There are restrooms close by (Photo #3: Shows the view from the shelter to the restroom and Photo #4: Shows the view from the restroom to the shelter).

      Cove Lake Shelter 6

      Capacity: 55-65. There are eight picnic tables and a large charcoal grill located in front of shelter. Electricity is available inside of the shelter and a water spigot is located next to the shelter (Note: Water is only available from April 1-October 31). Restrooms are located directly next to the shelter (shown in Photo #4). The playground is located across the street in front of the shelter.

    All rates subject to change. Taxes and fees are added upon reservation.

    Rickard Ridge BBQ

    Rickard Ridge BBQ is a leased restaurant adjacent to the recreation building. The restaurant is open year-round and seats 115 people with outdoor deck seating also available. There is an exquisite view of Cove Lake from the restaurant.

    Visit the Camp Store

    The park’s camp store is your best spot for finding T-shirts, stickers, firewood, and s'more supplies to make your camping experience exceptional. The camp store is your go-to destination for a mug, a marshmallow stick, a fire-starter, or those matches you forgot to pack.
