In August 2023, Fall Creek Falls State Park was impacted by a tornado. Please see the updates below regarding the current status of park availability due to past storm damage.
The following areas remain closed:
- Piney Falls Trail (FCF parking lot to Piney Falls parking lot)
- Millikan's Overlook Trail (overlook is open, trail is closed)

Group Stays Details
The park offers five group-stay options that can accommodate a wide range of group sizes and needs. Cane Creek Camp and Piney Creek Camp include multiple rustic cabins, shared bathhouses, and full commercial kitchens. Newton Ford Group Lodge provides bunk-style lodging for up to 100 people with meeting space and a commercial kitchen, while Turkey Pen Group Lodge offers two smaller bunk buildings with residential kitchens for groups up to 32. Eli Field is a group tent camping area with four sites that accommodate up to 50 people each.
If your group is smaller, you may find that the park’s cabins or campsites are a better fit. You can note this on the request information form, and the park team will help point you to the right option.
Cane Creek Group Camp
Cane Creek Camp has 19 rustic cabins. There are three bathhouses. The non-winterized cabins are grouped into sections, each with four to six bunks and a 100-person capacity. The kitchen and dining hall are complete with cooking utensils, a walk-in cooler and freezer, commercial dishwasher, and a large mixer. You must bring your own linens, toilet tissue, soap, towels, dish soap, etc.
During June, July, and up to August 15, the camp must be rented weekly, arriving on Sunday and leaving on Sunday. Any other time of year, there is a 2-night minimum.
Piney Creek Group Camp
Piney Creek Camp features 24 cabins. There are three bathhouses. The kitchen and dining hall is complete with cooking utensils, a walk-in cooler and freezer, commercial dishwasher, and large mixer. You must bring your linens, toilet tissue, soap, towels, dish soap, etc. The camp is ADA-compliant and is available for rent from April 15 through October 15.
During June, July, and up to August 15, the camp must be rented weekly, arriving on Saturday and leaving on Saturday. Any other time of year, there is a 2-night minimum.

Turkey Pen Group Lodge
Turkey Pen Bunk Lodge consists of two buildings, each with 16 bunks to accommodate 32 people. Each building has a residential kitchen complete with two residential stoves/ovens, refrigerator-freezers, and a dishwasher. All cooking and eating utensils are included. You must bring your own linens, soap, towels, dish soap, etc.
During June, July, and until August 15th, the lodge must be rented weekly, arriving on Saturday and leaving on Saturday. Any other time of year, there is a 2-night minimum.

Newton Ford Group Lodge
Newton Ford Bunk Lodge is a large, two-story building that sleeps up to 100 people. The lodge has four staff rooms, one at the end of the bunk room on each floor, and one external on each floor. Each staff room has two full-size beds and a private bath. There is a dormitory on each floor with 46 bunks and a large bath. Connected to the dormitories is a large kitchen complete with commercial appliances, a steam table, and an ice maker. All cooking and eating utensils are included. You must bring your own linens, soap, towels, dish soap, etc. The dining/meeting room has a wood-burning fireplace. Upstairs is a large meeting room that can be divided into three small areas.

Fall Creek Falls Eli Field
The Eli Field is a tent camping area for groups, about as large as a football field, divided into four individual group-camping tent sites. Each site has a water spigot, a couple of charcoal grills, and enough room for a maximum of 50 people per site. All four sites share one large bath house that has a men’s and women’s side. It offers electricity, toilets, and sinks, but no showers. You are allowed to use the showers in campground Area E if needed. Reservations for these sites may be made by calling the park office.

Firewood Policy
Tennessee State Parks asks that ALL campfires be made with heat-treated wood or downed wood collected inside the park, near the campsite. Please refrain from bringing untreated wood into the park.
