    Safety and Accessibility

    • Safety

Due to Rocky Fork State Park's remote location and limited cell service, visitors should be prepared for a wilderness experience. Trails are a mix of old logging roads and single-track hiking trails, and bridges were constructed by park staff using local materials. Visitors should familiarize themselves with the park map, be weather-aware, and wear appropriate footwear for creek crossings. Do not approach wildlife.

    • Accessibility

Rocky Fork State Park is committed to providing accessible opportunities for all visitors. The park has a pond located near the confluence of Rocky Fork Creek and Flint Creek that was originally created to allow locals with mobility issues to have access to fishing. In addition, the park offers all-terrain wheelchairs. Please reserve one early to ensure availability.

    • Responsible Recreation

Tennessee State Parks are dedicated to promoting responsible recreation — encouraging visitors to enjoy the parks’ natural beauty while minimizing their own impact. By practicing Leave No Trace principles and respecting park rules, visitors can help preserve these precious resources for future generations.
