    The entire park exists as a testament to the beauty and architectural achievements of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). Visitors will enjoy the way Byrd Lake forms the central feature of the park. Activities like fishing, paddling, mountain biking, hiking, and golfing on a Jack Nicklaus signature course will make this a wonderful vacation destination for any traveler. Cumberland Mountain Park also serves as a great launch point for other adventures in the area, like waterfall chasing at Ozone Falls or rock climbing at Black Mountain.       Cumberland Mountain Historic CCC Cabins

      The historic CCC cabins truly capture the beauty and heritage of Cumberland Mountain State Park.       Cumberland Mountain Timber Lodge Cabins

      3 bedrooms 5 beds 1 bath
      The park has three Timber Lodge log cabins overlooking Byrd Lake, accommodating up to 10 people. Each cabin is fully furnished with all dishes, cooking utensils, linens and central heat and air.

      Renovated in 2020, the Coon Hollow Cabin can accommodate up to 6 people. It is fully furnished with all cooking utensils, linens, a fireplace, and central heating and air conditioning.

      Cumberland Mountain Mill House Stone Cabin

      2 bedrooms 4 beds 2 baths
      This gorgeous stone cabin was renovated in 2020. It is a two-story cabin with central heat and air conditioning and can accommodate up to 6 people. The cabin has a patio on the back side that faces the creek. Mill House Cabin offers guests a secluded getaway as it is not close to any of the other cabins.

      Cumberland Mountain Standard Cabins

      2 bedrooms 2 beds 1 bath
      The Cumberland Mountain Standard Cabins include cabin numbers 7, 8, 12, 15, and 16. The park has five standard cabins nestled among the trees. Firewood can be purchased at the park office. Parking is available in front of each cabin.

      Cumberland Mountain Duplex Cabins

      1 bedroom 1 bed 1 bath
      The Cumberland Mountain Duplex Cabins include cabin numbers 17a, 17b, 18a, 18b, 19a, 19b, 20a, and 20b. There are eight duplex cabins, each of which has one full bed, a kitchenette, and a bathroom. There is a shared wall with the adjoining duplex unit, but no interior access.

    Details You Should Know

    • Minimum Stay

      There is a two-night minimum stay required. Holidays and other special event times may require longer minimum stays. Peak times require a three-night minimum stay (including Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day).   

    • Maximum Stay 

      Maximum consecutive stay from March 1 – November 30 in any one cabin is 14 nights. From December 1 – February 29, the maximum stay is 28 nights.   

    • Reservations 

      Reservations may be made through our central reservations system (see phone number above).

    • Pet Policy 

      Pets are only allowed in the pet-friendly cabins. There is a $20 per pet/night charge for standard cabins. Additional charges may apply for any damage that occurs to the carpet or furnishings.   

    Accessibility

    If you wish to reserve an ADA accessible cabin, please contact us (1-888-867-2757). Please be aware that you must make a specific request for an ADA accessible cabin. There are a limited number, so reservations for ADA accessible cabins should be made as far in advance as possible.
