    Cumberland Mountain State Park is home to the award-winning Jack Nicklaus Design course - The Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain. Awards include “One of the Top Ten You Can Play in North America” by Golf Magazine, Golf Digest named it “One of the Top Ten Courses in Tennessee,” and it was named by GOLFWEEK as the #1 Public Course in Tennessee two times. The 6,928-yard (Nicklaus tees), par 72 layout features a design that capitalizes on elevation changes as well as natural features like flowing brooks and clustered, mature pines. The course features five sets of tees, Tahoma 31 Bermuda fairways, and bentgrass greens. As in typical Nicklaus Signature courses, there are many risk/reward opportunities for golfers of all levels. The course is located just south of I40 in Crossville, the “Golf Capital of Tennessee” between Nashville and Knoxville.
