Edgar Evins Fishing
Fishing at Edgar Evins
Center Hill Lake is an 18,000-acre reservoir of the Caney Fork River with rocky shorelines supporting three species of bass as well as crappie, walleye, catfish, and trout.
Bass fishing is best in spring and fall; however, many bass anglers fish at night in the summer. Several professional fishing tournaments are held annually on the lake. Immediately below the dam and just minutes from the park are the coldwater tailwaters of the Caney Fork River. Fishing the Caney Fork during non-generation periods is very productive for tainbow, Bluegill, brook, and brown trout.
A valid Tennessee fishing license is needed for fishing. An additional trout license is needed for trout fishing in the river below the dam.
