Notification Alert
Construction from Brand New Playscape
Please excuse our mess as we work to build a brand-new learning playscape! Work has begun paving the way for a nature-based playscape that will combine the fun of a play area with opportunities to learn and help children connect with nature through a hands-on experience. Due to the heat, work may begin each day in the early morning hours before quiet time is over, causing noise for our campground guests. Please contact the park office for additional details. Thank you for your patience during this project!
Camping at Harrison Bay
Harrison Bay State Park is located along Chickamauga Lake in Southeast Tennessee, just north of Chattanooga. The park offers a wooded lakeside setting with extensive shoreline, and some campsites provide sweeping views of the lake. Visitors can enjoy boating, fishing, hiking, golfing, and time on the water during their stay.
Camping options include multiple campgrounds with sites for tents and RVs, offering water and electric hookups, as well as primitive tent-only camping areas.
Harrison Bay Main Campground - Areas A, B, C
There are RV campsites with water and electrical hookups and a limited number that can accommodate RVs up to 65 ft. There is one centralized dumping station. Bathhouses are located in each of the four camping areas. A tent can be put up beside the RV but is limited to one per site.
Harrison Bay Main Campground - Area D
These sites do not have water or electrical hookups, but a water spigot is centrally located. Campsites have a grill and fire ring. Pads are gravel and in the shade.
Firewood Policy
Tennessee State Parks asks that ALL campfires be made with heat-treated wood or downed wood collected inside the park, near the campsite. Please refrain from bringing untreated wood into the park.
