Henry Horton Camping

The Campground South has reservable campsites for both RV and tent campers looking for a serene overnight stay. Each site is paved and features 20-, 30-, or 50-amp electrical and water hookups, a grill, picnic table, lantern hook, wifi access, and a nearby bathhouse. 

Also located in Campground South are 19 tent-only sites. These gravel sites do not include any hookups or wifi, but water and a bathhouse are available at the entrance of the tent camping area.

Henry Horton State Park offers 6 drive-in campsites, also referred to as primitive sites, in the North Campground loop. These sites include a fire ring and picnic table, but do not have access to water, electric, or Wi-Fi. They are located 1/4 mile from the bathhouse in the Campground South Area. 

Vehicles and/or trailers must fit in the designated area without modifying the site and sit on the prepared site without blocking roads or intruding on neighboring sites. A maximum of two tents or vehicles allowed per site (excluding pop-up canopies or other non-dwelling covers). No vehicular idling in site. No gas, propane, or combustion-powered generators allowed, without approval from the Park Manager. 

Three primitive group camp sites are also available in the North Campground. They are a large grassy area with a fire ring and a picnic table. These sites are perfect for church groups, family reunions, and scout groups! Each site is reservable for up to 25 people, but the limit can be extended to 50 for an additional charge per person. There are no water or electrical hookups on the site, but access to water and a bathhouse is available nearby. Call the park office to reserve a group campsite.

There are two backcountry campsites located on the Adeline Wilhoite River Trail Loop. The backcountry sites are approximately a 1.0-mile hike from the camp store and are hike-in only. You can park at the camp store or at the Wilhoite Mill Trailhead (2-mile hike). There is a primitive outhouse available. Each site has a fire pit and seating. Six people are allowed per site. There is no access to potable water. 

Please practice Leave No Trace and pack out what you pack in. Reservations may be made online or by calling the park. Please display your receipt in your vehicle window when you park and hike to the site.

Henry Horton has six, hammock-only, primitive campsites located off the Campground South loop. You must hike in, vehicles are not allowed at the campsite. Capacity limits for each site are six people/six hammocks. Do not stack hammocks or cut/modify trees. Amenities include a picnic table and grill/fire ring combo. WiFi is available. Please practice Leave No Trace and pack out what you bring in. Parking is in a gravel lot about 50 yards from the campsites.
