    Fishing at Johnsonville

The park is located on the Tennessee River near mile marker 96.0.

The Tennessee River is known for its great sport fishing and other water recreation activities. Fishing is productive from the bank, but the best way to experience this large river is by boat.

The creek mouths and embayments are popular for spring crappie fishing from late March through May. Bluegill and redear sunfish are also commonly harvested from the lake. Bass fishing is best in the spring and fall. Catfish are commonly caught in the summer and fall.
