Notification Alert
Some Trails Closed
Portions of the Montgomery Bell and Creech Hollow Trails will be closed for visitor safety beginning 3/2/26 due to a timber salvage project as a result of the November storms that brought down thousands of trees. We anticipate reopening the closed portions in May 2026.
We thank you for your continued patience and understanding. If you have any questions, please contact the park office.

Group Camp One was built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps and is considered a historic landmark. The buildings are constructed of Crab Orchard stone that was hand hewn and quarried in Tennessee. The camp is located in a rustic setting nestled above Lake Woodhaven. The 36 rustic cabins, which do not have air conditioning or heating, sleep approximately 120 people. In addition to the cabins, the camp provides a large dining hall with full service kitchen and fireplace, a picnic shelter area, guard gate, a field bathhouse, three extra counselor buildings, and a boat dock located on beautiful Lake Woodhaven. There are four bathhouses (two showers in each), sinks, toilets, running water and hot water.
The camp consists of three different sections. The red section contains nine cabins, a bathhouse, and a counselor cabin. The white section contains 11 cabins, a bathhouse, and a counselor cabin. Cabins have views of Lake Woodhaven. The blue section has 11 cabins, a bathhouse and a counselor cabin. The rustic cabins cannot be individually rented.
