The East and West Campgrounds are currently closed for renovation with an intended reopening in 2026.

Trailhead Temporarily Closed Due to Construction
Due to construction associated with the campground renovation on the west side of the park, the trailhead at the Canteen Camp Store is currently inaccessible.

Cabins at Norris Dam
Cabin visitors can enjoy recreational boating, skiing, and fishing, as well as the fully equipped Norris Lake marina with boat ramps. If visitors do not own their own boats, pontoon boats are available for rent. Norris Park land activities, such as hiking, birding, biking, and horseback riding, are also available for cabin renters.
In addition, nearby attractions such as the Museum of Appalachia, the Lenoir Museum, Green McAdoo Cultural Center, American Museum of Science and Energy, or historic downtown Clinton are within reach in a matter of minutes. Overall, the variety of activities and amenities offered make Norris Dam State Park cabins a great vacation spot for all ages.

Parking Information
Parking: Cabins 21, 22, 23, 26, 29, and 30 have enough spots to park two vehicles. Cabins 24, 25, 27, and 28 have enough spots to park one vehicle. Additional vehicles/trucks with trailers can be parked on the opposite side of the road.
Parking for Historic CCC Cabins: All historic CCC Cabins have enough parking for two midsize vehicles.
Steps: Cabins 6, 11 and 17 have 3-4 steps leading to a stone landing by the entrance. Hand railings are not present due to their historic nature and caution is advised.
