Due to construction associated with the campground renovation on the west side of the park, the trailhead at the Canteen Camp Store is currently inaccessible.

    Host Your Event at Norris Dam

    Norris Dam State Park is located 30 minutes from Knoxville and offers a variety of event spaces. To find more information and to reserve a venue, visit the Tennessee State Parks reservation site.

    Our Event Spaces

      Norris Dam Tea Room

      Average rates: $800–$3600
      Capacity: 100 guests

      The Tea Room is a popular venue for wedding ceremonies and receptions, company dinners, and catered events. Built during the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the Tea Room offers old-fashioned charm with modern convenience. The building features a two-tier floor plan, a full kitchen, cathedral ceilings, a massive stone fireplace, and a large wooden deck that overlooks the woods and Norris Lake (when the trees are dormant). With the open amphitheater just across the street and cabin accommodations within walking distance, it is a one-stop location for these happy events.

      Norris Dam Appalachian Center

      Average rates: $115–$145
      Capacity: 75 guests

      The Appalachian Event Center is a perfect venue for large business meetings, bridal and baby showers, as well as family reunions. The Event Center is located near a recreation hall, basketball court, tennis court, and a small playground. The Event Center is equipped with a kitchen, a unisex restroom, and a projection screen is also available.

      Norris Dam Conference Room

      Average rates: $60
      Capacity: 12 guests

      If you need to get your employees out of their office setting, but still need to get work done, the Conference Room at Norris Dam State Park can host your small business meeting. Located within the Park Office, the Conference Rooms can seat 15 comfortably, but can accommodate up to 25. For an additional charge, refreshments can be provided. Please let us know at the time of reservation if this service is needed.

      Norris Dam Threshing Barn

      Historic barn located next to the Grist Mill and creek.

    Pavilions

    Norris Dam State Park offers two picnic pavilions in the beautiful historic district near Norris Lake. Both pavilions have electricity and are ideal for your next family gathering or celebration.

    The restrooms at Shelter 1 will be closed for the winter season and will reopen in March. Guests can use the restrooms at Shelter 2.

    Picnic shelters or pavilions may be reserved up to one year in advance with a paid reservation fee. There is a $5 cancellation fee for picnic shelter or pavilion reservations canceled eight days or more in advance of the reserved date. Reservations canceled seven days or less in advance of the reserved date forfeit all paid fees.

      Norris Dam Shelter 1

      Average rates: $90
      Capacity: 25 guests

      Shelter 1 has picnic tables, grills, and access to restrooms and an ADA accessible playground. The Shelter 1 restroom is open seasonally. When it is closed, please use the restroom located at Shelter 2.

      Norris Dam Shelter 2

      Average rates: $130
      Capacity: 80 guests

      Shelter 2 has picnic tables, grills, and access to ADA accessible restrooms. There are two playgrounds beside it, including one that is ADA accessible. Shelter 2 will accommodate up to 80 people.
