    Safety and Accessibility

    • Safety

      Paris Landing State Park is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Guests should be aware that swimming in non-designated areas poses the risk of hidden dangers. The Marina is off limits to swimming due to the inherent risk of shock. When hiking the trails, closed-toe shoes should be worn. Bug spray should be worn in the warm months, and swimming in non-designated areas should be avoided.

      Paris Landing State Park strives to make its facilities and programs accessible to all visitors. Our park offers ADA-compliant accommodation options, accessible facilities and parking lot as well as equipment and trails that enable more visitors to see the beauty of the park.       Birds of Paris Landing Aviary

      Tennessee State Parks participate in healing injured birds of prey and returning them to the wild. Some are unable to return to the wild and have found a home at the Birds of Paris Landing Aviary.

      Marina

      Located at mile marker 66.1, along the banks of the Tennessee River, our marina has been an oasis for boaters for more than 50 years. The marina offers slips, transient docking to gas, pump-out service, and WiFi.

      Kentucky Lake

      This recreational paradise offers a full-service marina with boat ramps, a swimming beach, excellent fishing opportunities, and stunning views that are enhanced by a colorblind viewfinder in the day-use area.

      The Lodge at Paris Landing

      The Lodge is one of our most popular indoor and outdoor venue locations for large groups wanting to be in nature, view the lake with shoreline access, and enjoy amenities like on-site catering. Our teams coordinate any event planning and catering planning to ensure your special gathering is more fun and less stress.

      Outdoor Venues

      The park has a variety of outdoor venues. The Gazebo is a favorite for wedding and engagement photos, the Amphitheater offers seating and Big Eagle Base is a large, secluded outdoor space on the shores of Kentucky Lake. Each venue comes with a variety of amenities that help meet the needs of your group event.

    Pavilions

    Paris Landing State Park offers several picnic shelters/pavilions that can be reserved for events or gatherings. These shelters can accommodate between 60 and 100 people, depending on the specific shelter.  

    Amenities: picnic tables, a grill, and restroom access.  
    Nearby: Depending on the shelter location, additional features like a playground, tennis courts, or an open area amphitheater may be nearby.  

    All shelters open at 7:00 AM and close at dusk.

  • Reduce Erosion

    Minimize erosion in campgrounds with man-made tent pads.  

  • Promote Recycling

    Recycle all used cooking oil from the restaurant. Partner with Henry County to promote and manage an active park recycling program. Offer trash and recycling dumpsters at campgrounds and marina.  

  • Reduce Pollution

    Prevent and reduce water pollution at the marina. Installed electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at the Lodge.  

  • Energy Efficiency

    Track park-wide energy use to identify areas for improvement. Installed window film at the park office.  

  • Nurture Native Habitats

    Partner with the Southeastern Grasslands Initiative. Maintain a pollinator garden.  

  • Maintain High Green Standards

    Tennessee Green Hospitality Program certification. TVA Green Power Switch program participant. Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program and Groundwater Guardian Green Program status.
