Reelfoot Lake Fishing
Fishing at Reelfoot Lake
Tennessee’s only natural lake is nationally known for crappie and bluegill fishing and is a premier destination for anglers.
Reelfoot Lake is a Bill Dance Signature Lake, receiving continuous habitat management and improvements to ensure quality fishing experiences for bluegill, crappie, and bass.
The peak seasons for catching these panfish are April and May, but experienced anglers can reel in crappie, bluegill, and catfish throughout the year.
Fishing at Reelfoot Lake is productive whether you're on a boat or fishing from the bank, pier, or boardwalk. A special lake permit is required, ensuring the preservation and management of this unique fishing environment.
The park features seven public boat launch ramps that can accommodate fishing boats and small pontoon boats.
Additionally, fish cleaning stations are conveniently located throughout the park.
