    Chickasaw State Park rents lakeside cabins just 30 minutes away from Jackson, TN.

    The park’s central feature, Lake Placid, provides a beautiful setting for hiking, paddling, fishing, and swimming. Visitors will enjoy access to several playgrounds for children, guided horseback riding during the busy season, and an adjacent golf course. At night, the park provides a beautiful setting for enjoying the night sky.  

    Beyond the park borders, you can explore the nearby state forest, Hatchie National Wildlife Refuge, Pinson Mounds State Archeological Park, Big Hill Pond State Park, and the cities of Henderson, Bolivar, and Jackson.

      Chickasaw Standard Cabins

      2 bedrooms 3 beds 1 bath
      Chickasaw offers 6 standard cabins nestled among tall pines, with easy access to Lake Placid. The kitchens include full-sized appliances and utensils for cooking and serving. All of your bed and bath linens are provided. These items can be exchanged out for new linens by contacting our housekeeping staff. The main living area has a wood-burning fireplace. Wood is provided from October to March. The cabin also contains a TV with satellite service and a telephone.

      Chickasaw Historic WPA Cabins 

      1 bedroom 3 beds 1 bath
      Chickasaw has 7 one-bedroom historic Works Progress Administration (WPA) cabins nestled among tall pines and with easy access to Lake Placid. Linens can be exchanged by contacting the housekeeping staff.   Wood is provided from October to March.  

    All rates subject to change. Taxes and fees are added upon reservation.

    • Minimum Stay

      There is a two-night minimum stay required. Holidays and other special event times may require longer minimum stays. Peak times require a three-night minimum stay (including Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day).   

    • Maximum Stay 

      Maximum consecutive stay from March 1 – November 30 in any one cabin is 14 nights. From December 1 – February 29, the maximum stay is 28 nights.   

    • Pet Policy 

      Pets are only allowed in the pet-friendly cabins. There is a $20 per pet/night charge for standard cabins. Additional charges may apply for any damage that occurs to the carpet or furnishings.   

    Accessibility

    If you wish to reserve an ADA accessible cabin, please contact us (1-888-867-2757). Please be aware that you must make a specific request for an ADA accessible cabin. There are a limited number, so reservations for ADA accessible cabins should be made as far in advance as possible. 

    Visitor Center Gift Shop

    The Visitor Center Gift Shop is the perfect place to pick up a map, learn about the park, or find a souvenir. You'll find an assortment of apparel and keepsakes to remember your trip to the park.
