    Host your next gathering at Sycamore Shoals

    Sycamore Shoals State Park offers a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces for events, meetings, and small gatherings. The Gathering Place Community Room provides a large indoor venue with a stage and audiovisual setup, while three reservable picnic shelters offer convenient outdoor options with grills, tables, and nearby amenities. For larger groups, multiple shelters can be reserved together with access to an expanded field area, giving you additional space for activities and setup.

      Sycamore Shoals Gathering Place Community Room

      Average rates: $130–$215
      Capacity: 120 guests

      The Gathering Place Community Room is located inside the Sycamore Shoals State Park Visitor Center. This large venue has a stage and audiovisual equipment that makes it perfect for any event, meeting, or presentation. The capacity is approximately 120 presentation style and up to 70 people around tables.

      Half Day Rate: $130
      Monday - Thursday rate: $200
      Friday - Sunday rate: $215

    Pavilions

    Sycamore Shoals State Park has three picnic shelters/pavilions that may be reserved for your next event or gathering. Restrooms are not available at the shelters. Shelter reservations may be made online or by calling the park.

    Picnic shelters or pavilions may be reserved online up to one year in advance with a paid reservation fee. There is a $5 cancellation fee for picnic shelter or pavilion reservations canceled 8 days or more in advance of the reserved date. Reservations canceled seven days or less in advance of the reserved date forfeit all paid fees.

      Sycamore Shoals Dogwood Shelter

      Average rates: $60
      Capacity: 35 guests

      A great location for a picnic or small gathering, this shelter is equipped with five picnic tables including one that is wheelchair accessible.

      Available MON-SAT 9am-4pm and SUN 12pm-4:30pm. Later stay arrangements must be made in advance by calling the park office.

      Sycamore Shoals Redbud Shelter

    Additional Pavilion Info

    • Your Shelter Reservation Includes:

      Access to your Shelter for up to 35 people, one large grill, electricity, trash receptacles, and water nearby. Each shelter provides four standard picnic tables and one that is wheelchair accessible.

      Please do not put up tents or other structures along the side of the entrance road, in the field, or around the shelters. If your event requires the use of an area larger than the space around your shelter or requires set up of tents, chairs, or other structures, you will need to reserve our Expanded Area Package. 

    • Expanded Area Package

      This package is ideal for larger groups. It includes all three shelters (Dogwood, Redbud and Sweetgum) with use of the large field beside the shelters. To rent this area or learn more, please call the park office.
