    Cabins at Meeman-Shelby Forest

    Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park has six two-bedroom rustic cabins situated along the shoreline of Poplar Tree Lake in a heavily wooded section of the park.
     
    Each bedroom features one bed, along with a full-size pull-out couch. Each cabin has internet access. In cabins 1-5, the beds are queen-size. In Cabin 6, the beds are full-size. These cozy cabins are ideal for family vacations, a couples' weekend, fishing trip, or a girls' getaway.

    Meeman-Shelby Rustic Cabins

    2 bedrooms 4 beds 1 bath

    Meeman-Shelby Forest has six rustic cabins situated along the shoreline of Poplar Tree Lake in a heavily wooded section of the park.  

    These cozy cabins are ideal for family vacations, a couples' weekend, fishing trip, or a girls' getaway.

    The Meeman-Shelby Forest cabins are completely equipped for housekeeping with a fully equipped kitchen. Linens are provided. Firewood is supplied during the winter months.

    Details You Should Know

    • Minimum Stay

      There is a two-night minimum stay required. Holidays and other special event times may require longer minimum stays. Peak times require a three-night minimum stay (including Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day).   

    • Maximum Stay 

      Maximum consecutive stay from March 1 – November 30 in any one cabin is 14 nights. From December 1 – February 29, the maximum stay is 28 nights.   

    • Reservations 

      Reservations may be made through our central reservations system (see phone number above) or the park lodge up to 13 months in advance.   

    • Pet Policy 

      Pets are only allowed in the pet-friendly cabins. There is a $20 per pet/night charge for standard cabins and $9 per pet/night charge for camping cabins. Additional charges may apply for any damage that occurs to the carpet or furnishings.   

    Accessibility

    If you wish to reserve an ADA accessible cabin, please contact us (1-888-867-2757). Please be aware that you must make a specific request for an ADA accessible cabin. There are a limited number, so reservations for ADA accessible cabins should be made as far in advance as possible.

    Firewood Policy 

    Tennessee State Parks asks that ALL campfires be made with heat-treated wood or downed wood collected inside the park, near the campsite. Please refrain from bringing untreated wood into the park.
