    Host Your Event at Meeman-Shelby Forest

    Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park has a variety of indoor and outdoor venues for your next group gathering.

    We offer a number of event spaces that are ideal for weddings, family reunions, corporate retreats, and parties.

    Our Event Spaces

      Meeman-Shelby Recreation Lodge

      Average rates: $325–$425
      Capacity: 150 guests

      The Recreation Lodge has three meeting rooms inside its 3,000 square foot interior. The rental of this facility includes a large field next to the building that is perfect for an outdoor wedding or family reunion games.

      Meeman-Shelby Visitor Center Meeting Room

      Average rates: $30–$60
      Capacity: 20 guests

      There is a 1,250 square foot meeting room available within the Visitor Center that comes with tables and chairs to seat 50.

    Pavilions

    Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park has a total of six picnic shelters/pavilions that may be reserved for your next event or gathering. Depending on the shelter, the maximum capacity ranges from 30 to 100 people. The shelters are equipped with picnic tables, a grill, and access to restrooms. 

    Full day shelter reservations may be made online or by calling the park.    

    Picnic shelters or pavilions may be reserved online up to one year in advance with a paid reservation fee. There is a $5 cancellation fee for picnic shelter or pavilion reservations cancelled eight days or more in advance of the reserved date. Reservations cancelled seven days or less in advance of the reserved date forfeit all paid fees.

    Piersol Group Camp

    The Piersol Group Camp is located on a 25-acre lot near Piersol Lake.

    The Piersol Group Camp at Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park can accommodate up to 140 people. Available from April - October, the camp is rented by the week only during the summer months, and on weekends at other times. A deposit is required and reservations should be made well in advance.
