Some Trails Closed
Portions of the Montgomery Bell and Creech Hollow Trails will be closed for visitor safety beginning 3/2/26 due to a timber salvage project as a result of the November storms that brought down thousands of trees. We anticipate reopening the closed portions in May 2026.

Paddling at Montgomery Bell
Private boats are allowed on Lake Acorn; however, gasoline motors are prohibited.
Kayaks, canoes, pedal boats, and flat bottom fishing boats are rented for use on Lake Acorn through Broken Paddle Outfitters. Prices are by the hour or half day.

Broken Paddle Outfitters provides rentals for use on Lake Acorn. They have staff on site at the boat dock station.
