Tims Ford Camping
Camping at Tims Ford
Tims Ford State Park is located in south-central Tennessee in the foothills of the Cumberland Plateau, along the shores of Tims Ford Lake. The park offers a scenic lakeside setting known for bass fishing, boating, golfing, hiking, and hunting.
Camping options include three campgrounds. The main campground and Fairview offer campsites for tents and RVs, both with water and electric hookups. Some Fairview sites also offer sewer hookups and lake views. The Turkey Creek Campground features tent-only primitive sites. Backcountry camping is available through hike-in and paddle-in sites for a more remote experience.
Tims Ford Main Campground
All sites have 30-amp electric service and water hookups. A few sites also have sewer hookups. A dump station is located at the campground entrance for self-contained rigs.
Two centrally located, heated bathhouses provide hot showers and bathrooms. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring with a grill. A playground is located within the campground, and several others are throughout the park. The camp store is open year-round.
The campsites are limited to six people per site, one RV and one tent, or two tents per site. Two of the campsites are ADA-compliant and are set aside for that reason.
