Lodge and Restaurant Closed for Rebuild
The Lodge at Natchez Trace (the Pin Oak Lodge) and Restaurant are currently undergoing a rebuild, with an anticipated reopening in spring 2028.
During construction, the pool will be unavailable. Guests are welcome at our cabins, which remain open during construction, and a food truck at the Camp Store serves hot food.
Horse Stall Reservations
Horse stall reservations must be made through the Visitor Center at Natchez Trace at 731-968-3742.
Fishing at Natchez Trace
Brown’s Creek Lake and Maple’s Creek Lake are managed by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA).
Pin Oak Lake is managed by the park. Bait, tackle, and snacks are for sale at nearby locations. Worms are the only bait sold at the park store. The Lodge at Natchez Trace is currently closed for a rebuild. For a lake permit, please call and a permit can be issued over the phone and a receipt can be sent via email.

Brown’s Creek Lake
167 acres
This lake is managed by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) using Florida strain largemouth bass to produce trophy fish. Fish surveys as recent as 2012 have documented bass in the 10-pound class in the lake. The lake is a Bill Dance Signature Lakes.
Jon boat rentals are available. A day or annual lake use permit is required. They are available on site via a dropbox.
Maple’s Creek Lake
90 acres
Managed by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), this lake provides excellent catfish fishing and quality bluegill and redear sunfish.

Cub Lake
Cub Lake is park-operated.
There is no boat ramp on this lake. There is not a limit for crappie. A fishing license is required.
Pin Oak Lake
690 acres
This lake is managed by the park. Fishing can be productive for bass, bluegill, and catfish. There is a slot limit for largemouth bass.
Lake permit not required for guests between 14 and 61 years of age. No permit required for overnight guests or guests with sportsman license.

Tennessee Fishing License
All individuals age 13 and older must have a fishing license to fish in Tennessee.
There are a variety of fishing licenses available for residents and non-residents, including a junior license for residents ages 13 - 15.
Licenses are granted by Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) and may be obtained in person at sporting goods stores, county clerks, hardware stores, and boat docks or online.
