Lodge and Restaurant Closed for Rebuild

Natchez Trace State Park

The Lodge at Natchez Trace (the Pin Oak Lodge) and Restaurant are currently undergoing a rebuild, with an anticipated reopening in spring 2028. 

During construction, the pool will be unavailable. Guests are welcome at our cabins, which remain open during construction, and a food truck at the Camp Store serves hot food.

Horse stall reservations must be made through the Visitor Center at Natchez Trace at 731-968-3742.

    Boating at Natchez Trace

    Pin Oak Lake is popular for all types of boats and water recreation.

    Guests may also rent jon boats at the boat dock for use on Cub Creek Lake. Personal electric trolling motors can be used on park jon boats. Brown’s Lake and Maples Creek Lake are managed by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA).  

    As part of the Natchez Trace Recreation Area in partnership with TWRA and the Department of Agriculture Division of Forestry, Tennessee State Parks honors the TWRA Sportsman License on Tennessee State Parks managed lakes at Natchez Trace.

    Our Lakes

    • Pin Oak Lake (690 acres)

      Pin Oak Lake is popular for all types of boats and water recreation and has two public boat launch ramps with courtesy docks. Both ramps can accommodate fishing boats, ski boats, pontoon boats, and wave runners. Finger docks are available for small boats at the cabins, or guests may trailer their boats to their cabin or secure them in the parking lot adjacent to the lodge. A boat dock is also available for campers within the Pin Oak Campground. Lake Use Permits can be purchased at the Park Store or Visitor Center, or by calling 1-731-968-3742 or 1-731-968-8176 to purchase one over the phone. Waterskiing is allowed only on Pin Oak Lake. 

    • Cub Creek Lake (52 acres)

      Cub Creek Lake is open between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Pedal boats, canoes, and jon boats may be rented from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Pedal boat and canoe rentals are open Friday from 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM and Saturday and Sunday 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM, as well as on holidays. Personal electric trolling motors can be used on park jon boats. There is no ramp available, but personal boats may be carried from the parking lot. No gasoline motors are allowed.

    • Brown’s Lake (167 acres) and Maple Creek Lake (90 acres)

      Brown’s Lake and Maple Creek Lake are managed by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. Jon boats can be rented and a lake permit fee is required. These are idle-speed-only lakes and fishing-only lakes (no non-fishing recreational use). Day or annual lake use permits are available on site via a dropbox.

    Fees are subject to change. Pricing for rentals changes annually.

    Visitor Center Gift Shop

    The Visitor Center Gift Shop is the perfect place to pick up a map, learn about the park, or find a souvenir. You’ll find an assortment of apparel and keepsakes to remember your trip to the park.
