    Paddling at Big Ridge

    Canoes, kayaks, SUPs, and paddleboats may be rented for use on the 49-acre Big Ridge Lake.

    The boat dock is open throughout the week from Memorial Day through Labor Day. After Labor Day, the boat dock is open part-time on Saturdays and Sundays in September. Please call the park office for specific boat dock hours of operation at 1-865-992-5523.

    Privately owned canoes, kayaks, and SUPs may be launched on Big Ridge Lake for a nominal fee.

    Rental Information

    Canoe: $8 hourly
    Kayak - Single: $8 hourly
    Kayak - Tandem: $12 hourly
    Paddleboard: $8 hourly
    Pedal Boat: $6 2-seat hourly
    Pedal Boat: $13 4-seat hourly
    * = may require a deposit

    Lake Use Rates

    Daily personal watercraft permit: $6 

    Note: Fees listed may be in addition to any applicable licensing or access fees charged by other agencies.

    Visitor Center Gift Shop 

    The Visitor Center Gift Shop is the perfect place to pick up a map, learn about the park, or find a souvenir. You’ll find an assortment of apparel and keepsakes to remember your trip to the park.
