Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park

Due to erosion issues, One Way Road, past the campground at Meeman-Shelby, is closed. Please don't try to access these areas for your safety.

    Boating at Meeman-Shelby Forest

    The park has a free launch ramp on the Mississippi River, and a year-round boat ramp on 125-acre Poplar Tree Lake.

    Jon boats are available for rent at the park boat dock from March through November. 

    Privately owned boats with electric motors are permitted on the lakes for a small launch fee. Gasoline motors are allowed on Poplar Tree Lake when operated at no-wake speed. Boat rentals accept cash and credit card.

    The Visitor Center Gift Shop is the perfect place to pick up a map, learn about the park, or find a souvenir. You’ll find an assortment of apparel and keepsakes to remember your trip to the park.
