The boat dock and swimming area are closed to the public for accessibility improvements. 

Guests will not be permitted access to these areas for safety reasons. Guests will be permitted to bring their personal canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards during this time.

Pickett CCC Memorial State Park

Pickett CCC Memorial State Park's Campground will be closed from May 26, 2025, to mid-2026 for renovations to the bathhouse and campground.

    Pickett CCC Memorial State Park is located on the Cumberland Plateau in northern Tennessee, within Pickett State Forest and adjacent to the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. The park features a rugged landscape of sandstone formations, forested ridges, and clear streams, along with well-preserved Civilian Conservation Corps structures. Visitors can enjoy hiking, swimming, boating, and dark sky viewing. 

    Camping options include a single campground with sites for tents and RVs offering water hookups, with electric hookups available at select sites.

    Tent & RV

    The park offers 26 campsites, all of which provide water hookups, picnic tables, and grills. Electric hookups are provided at 16 of our campsites. The campground is served with a modern bathhouse and a dump station. The campground is open year-round and the maximum stay limit is two weeks. 

    Details You Should Know

    Rates are subject to change. Applicable taxes and fees applied at checkout.  

    • Electric Hookups

      Campsites with electric hookups: A1, A4, A7, A8, A10, A11, A12, A14, A17, A18, A21, B4, B6, B8, B9, B10.  

    • Trash

      Pickett CCC Memorial State Park is a trash can-free campground and does not provide trash cans or trash can liners. Trash and recycling receptacles are conveniently located just before the entrance to the campground. 

    • Bear Safety

      Due to bear activity in the park, we ask that you store food appropriately and dispose of your garbage and recyclables properly. For further information, please contact the park office at 931-879-5821. 

    Firewood Policy 

    Tennessee State Parks asks that ALL campfires be made with heat-treated wood or downed wood collected inside the park, near the campsite. Please refrain from bringing untreated wood into the park.

      Firewood is available on-site or locally.

    The park sells certified heat-treated firewood for $7.00 a bundle. Price is subject to change without notice.

    Visitor Center Gift Shop

    The Visitor Center Gift Shop is the perfect place to pick up a map, learn about the park, or find a souvenir. You’ll find an assortment of apparel and keepsakes to remember your trip to the park.
