Boat Dock and Swimming Area Closed for Accessibility Improvements
The boat dock and swimming area are closed to the public for accessibility improvements.
Guests will not be permitted access to these areas for safety reasons. Guests will be permitted to bring their personal canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards during this time.
Campground Closure
Pickett CCC Memorial State Park's Campground will be closed from May 26, 2025, to mid-2026 for renovations to the bathhouse and campground.

Camping at Pickett CCC Memorial
Pickett CCC Memorial State Park is located on the Cumberland Plateau in northern Tennessee, within Pickett State Forest and adjacent to the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. The park features a rugged landscape of sandstone formations, forested ridges, and clear streams, along with well-preserved Civilian Conservation Corps structures. Visitors can enjoy hiking, swimming, boating, and dark sky viewing.
Camping options include a single campground with sites for tents and RVs offering water hookups, with electric hookups available at select sites.
Pickett CCC Memorial Campground
The park offers 26 campsites, all of which provide water hookups, picnic tables, and grills. Electric hookups are provided at 16 of our campsites. The campground is served with a modern bathhouse and a dump station. The campground is open year-round and the maximum stay limit is two weeks.

Firewood Policy
Tennessee State Parks asks that ALL campfires be made with heat-treated wood or downed wood collected inside the park, near the campsite. Please refrain from bringing untreated wood into the park.
